Daniel Murphy has most recently been quoted in an article called Can the Nationals’ Gio Gonzalez carry his success into October?. Daniel Murphy said, “It seems like him and Wieters – and when Jose's been back there with him – it's moving the ball in two different directions. He's got the comebacker to the righties, throwing his breaking ball and his change-up for strikes when he needs to get early contact or to get back into the count when he's gotten behind. From second base, it's been fun to watch the rapport with him and the catchers. He's been executing pitches.”. Daniel Murphy has been quoted a grand total of 19 times in 15 articles.

I thought he doubled up when he needed to double up. He had real good feel for the change-up, and the two breaking balls – like, the get-ahead breaking ball and the kill breaking ball, the put-away pitch in the dirt. He doubled up. He tripled up when he needed it. He wasn't afraid to throw the same pitch a couple times in a row. He just did it on his terms.feedback

My main goal in spring training is to leave healthy. I think personally, I've been able to do that, and as a whole, we've been able to do that. … weather agreeing, should have another four to six at-bats, and then the bell rings.feedback

I just wanted to try to grind out the at-bats. No matter how I felt, I felt like that was a choice I could make, to try to engage in the at-bat no matter what I felt like going in there. I feel like I was able to do that, for the most part … I've never felt super, super great in spring training for some reason. Hopefully just continue to get at-bats and see as many pitches as I can.feedback

I was able to take a lot of groundballs. Talked with Ian Kinsler quite a bit about defense, which was really cool because I know what a great defender he is so I picked his brain a lot. Paul Goldschmidt and I spent a lot of time together kind of talking about what we would do offensively from an approach on certain guys and certain guys that weren't. in the tournament. There was a lot of great conversations. I think the physical work I was able to get in. So now I'm back to camp, let's see if I can find some game at-bats.feedback

How are you going to get your stuff together when you're not playing? Batting practice is one thing, but competition is something else.feedback
